Mother love is the fuel that enables a normal human being to do the impossible.
~ Marion C. Garretty, quoted in A Little Spoonful of Chicken Soup for the Mother’s Soul

It’s not easy being a mother. If it were easy, fathers would do it.
~ Dorothy on The Golden Girls

A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.
~ Washington Irving

Few women realize what great service they are doing for mankind and for the kingdom of christ when tye provide a shelter for the family and good mothering—the foundation on which all else is built. A mother builds something for more magnificent than any cathedral—the dwelling place for an immortal soul.
~ Dorothy Patterson, in Recovering Biblical Manhood and Womanhood

An ounce of mother is worth a pound of clergy.
~ Spanish Proverb

Today I was chatting with a friend at Starbuck’s and shared how nice it is to truly like my in-laws as well as love them. I sincerely enjoy spending time with them. Really. I’m not just saying that.

It was a beautiful day to BBQ some hotdogs and play some Wa Hoo. Here are a few pictures.
