“Everything but the kitchen sink,” is an idiom used as a way of saying “everything imaginable.  Just a few years ago people were hesitant to buy anything over the internet.  Then, it became common to buy small items such as books and CDs. With the passing of time, and growing confidence in the safety of such purchases people felt comfortable buying “everything but the kitchen sink”; groceries, cars, motorcycles, houses.
