[...] Lord Acton’s 100 Best Books, courtesy of Kevin Stilley. This list is good for making one feel uneducated and frivolous in comparison to the well-educated nineteenth century gentleman. Of the 100, I’ve read portions of four: Pascal’s Pensees, St Aungustine’s Letters, Dante’s Divine Comedy, and The Federalist Papers. [...]

If I could beam there, I'd go to Petra. But, you actually have to go to the Middle East, so nahhh. Italy. I'd go there because it's so beautiful in all the photos and I love going places that the camera is happy. Plus, there's all that glorious ancient history in which to indulge.

Yes, people can find out as much about you now with a single Google search as it used to take a private investigator weeks.

great quote from Gates.

No, I am not hesitant to blog or search the net, but it is helpful to be reminded that in 2008 2009 there is really no such thing as “private” information.

I agree. It was brought home this weekend when talking with an acquaintance at church. He is a computer geek and mentioned something about another member of the church. And then he went on to tell me her maiden name and how he had looked it all up on the net. I wasn't sure if I should caution him about such activities or my friend.
